PlayStation and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Games have announced a new multiplayer game as part of the companies’ partnership. While PlayStation’s multiplayer-centric offerings have not hit as of late (except Helldivers 2), there is hope that this game will find an audience considering it’s being helmed by Left 4 Dead’s Mike Booth. In other news, Amazon’s Tomb Raider series is not only rebooting the live-action Lara Croft adventures, but will “reinvent the franchise on a massive scale” by connecting the show to the games in a “unified storytelling universe.” Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge is showrunning, and the series is expected to go into production early next year. And finally, Creative Assembly hosted a 25th Anniversary showcase, featuring new Total War projects, including the next mainline historical game: Total War: Medieval 3. A new game engine, Warcore, will also power new entries on console for the first time.

Don’t miss the Announcement Trailer for Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, a return to form for the hit first-person free-to-play arena-based multiplayer shooter developed by 1047 Games. Players will experience a redefined yet reminiscent Splitgate experience, from core combat, UI design, the removal of factions and abilities, and more. Splitgate: Arena Reloaded is also fitted with a rebuilt progression system, 5 new, 6 fully-reworked maps, 3 new Primary Weapons, and 1 new Power Weapon to reign chaos on the enemy. Splitgate: Arena Reloaded is launching on December 17 for PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Game Store, Windows).
