The Outer Worlds 2 Review

The Outer Worlds 2 reviewed by Travis Northup on PC and Xbox Series X|S, also available on PlayStation 5.

The Outer Worlds 2 doesn’t try to rewrite Obsidian’s RPG playbook, but it’s yet another strong refinement, with smoother combat, diabolically compelling buildcrafting and loot, and a story that immediately made me want to start again to see an alternate outcome. The sluggish first act and lack of enemy variety make it a bit of a slog at certain times, but once its story of political intrigue kicks in and the new flaws and perks system gets its claws in you, it can be quite hard to put down. All these improvements put The Outer Worlds 2 that much closer to being the Fallout: New Vegas successor we hoped this series would be, and that’s worth getting excited about.

PowerWash Simulator 2 Review

PowerWash Simulator 2 reviewed by Rachel Weber on PC, also available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Line up ladies and gentlemen, and see the rare example of a sequel to a special game that knew just what to tweak, and what to leave well enough alone. The meditative motions of cleaning, the silly sense of humor, and the sense of satisfaction. There’s enough here to justify slapping a big old 2 on the end of the title, but the key mechanic and feeling of the first game lives on.

Gen V Season 2 Ending Explained: How It Sets Up the Final Season of The Boys

Spoilers follow for Gen V Season 2!

After a wild eight episodes, Gen V Season 2 wrapped up its run with a game-changing hour that certainly puts a third season in doubt. Don’t worry, Godolkin U fans: There’s hope for more, which we’ll get into in a moment, as well as the whole future of The Boys universe and how this ties into the Prime Video franchise, directly setting up the final season of The Boys… and maybe, just maybe, Homelander’s fate as well.

The episode is mostly taken up with Thomas Godolkin (Ethan Slater) going a little nuts in order to cull the lower-tier Supes from the Godolkin U campus and power himself up enough to be able to puppet Homelander (Antony Starr). Of course, Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), Emma (Lizze Broadway), and the rest of our Gen V faves aren’t about to let Goldolkin kill their classmates… leading to a battle royale that will determine the direction of The Boys universe from here on out.

Watch the video for a full breakdown of the Gen V finale, “Trojan,” including whether or not there are any post-credits scenes, how the episode sets up The Boys Season 5, what’s next for The Boys and its spinoffs, and if we’ll ever get a Gen V Season 3!
