Megabonk – Quick Review

As far as survivors-likes go, this is a pretty strong one. Especially with the added consideration of the jump button and the whole vertical axis, and the emphasis on route-planning and exploration, I found it had that crucial ability to make me want to start a new run as soon as I finished the last until it was suddenly several hours later. I’m regularly groaning at some of the uninspired image board humor, but I feel like I can sometimes appreciate it in an ironic way, and otherwise just ignore it. I’d say it’s worth a look if you have an appetite for another one of these that isn’t basically just a Vampire Survivors reskin. I just wish there was a little more level variety.

Microsoft had to release a statement today clearing up a rumor that they were abandoning the console hardware business and switching to a third-party publishing model. A rumor from a supposed insider claims that Microsoft has paused development on their next-gen Xbox hardware, prompting many to agree that this seems the likeliest route, especially after hardware and Game Pass price increases have led to severe backlash from fans. Microsoft insists the company is moving forward with the next generation of Xbox hardware. In other news, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 has popped up on the ESRB site, prompting speculation that an official announcement is coming soon.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage – Official Valley of Memory Update Overview

Take a look at the Valley of Memory Update Overview for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the hit action-adventure stealth game developed by Ubisoft. Players can soon gain access to the Valley of Memory Update, bringing a suite of new gameplay updates and features alongside new story content with the upcoming expansion. Valley of Memory adds six hours of a new main quest, assassination targets, as well as side quests, contracts, and more. Replayable missions and challenges, updates to the parkour system, difficulty levels, and more will also make their way to Assassin’s Creed Mirage Valley of Memory, launching on November 18 for PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Store).
