It’s been over six years since Valve released their flagship VR headset, the Valve Index. In 2026, Valve is looking to expand their Steam hardware family with the Steam Frame, a standalone VR headset that doesn’t need a PC to run your games. Within the headset lies a computer running SteamOS that gives you access to games in your Steam library, allowing you to play them locally within your headset on either a giant 2D screen within your headset, or a fully VR capable game. Valve has packed a lot of tech into the Steam Frame to allow seamless wireless capabilities to play your VR games at high fidelity. The new Valve VR headset comes with a wireless adapter to stream your VR games from a higher end PC to the Steam Frame for maximum potential. No release date has been give for the Steam Frame of any of Valve’s other recently announced hardware, though you can expect them to all launch side-by-side in early 2026.

Valve has resurrected the Steam Machine, this time aiming to make a splash to own a corner of the PC market with a console-like PC meant to be a part of your living room. After the success of the Steam Deck, Valve is spinning up a family of Steam branded hardware in an effort to create an ecosystem that gives you access to your Steam Library pretty much anywhere you are. Designed to easily run most modern games at 4K, 60fps, the Steam Machine does not yet have a price, though you can expect it to be “competitively” priced to similarly spec’d hardware. An example of that hardware is a PC with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 GPU. The Steam Machine release date is still an unknown with an expectation to launch in early 2026 alongside the Steam Frame and the new Steam Controller. At the heart of the new Steam hardware family is SteamOS, exactly as it is on the Steam Deck.

The Steam Machine is back, offering a console-like form factor with the power to play your Steam Library with 4K gaming at 60 FPS with AMD FSR. The third-addition to the Steam hardware family is the Steam Frame, the next generation of VR technology offering a comfortable design, the ability to stream VR and non-VR games from your Steam Library through a wireless dongle, and more. The Steam Machine, Steam Controller, and Steam Frame are launching in 2026.

The film reunites the original main cast with director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, and introduces an all-new runway of characters including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Watch the latest ARC Raiders teaser trailer to see what’s coming with the North Line Update, which brings a new map: Stella Montis, a community unlock event called Breaking New Ground, two new ARC enemies: The Matriarch and The Shredder, new weapons and gameplay items (including Aphelion rifle, trailblazer grenade, seeker grenade, pulse mine, deadline mine, and gas mine), and new Stella Montis quests.

The frontier expands north. The new Stella Montis map invites Raiders to explore abandoned structures that remain eerily pristine compared to the wrecks of the Rust Belt. Cold, sterile, and steeped in mystery, these ruins hint at what humanity left behind in its push toward the stars, challenging players to uncover the truth buried within. Access to Stella Montis can be earned, and the new region will open once the global community completes the Breaking New Ground event, which begins on November 13 at 10:30 am CET/4:30 am ET/1:30 am PT.

The update also features new ARC enemies, with The Matriarch appearing under specific map conditions and available at the start of the Breaking New Ground event, while The Shredder will be exclusive to Stella Montis, and will appear once the region opens.

ARC Raiders is now available on PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, and on cloud streaming through Nvidia GeForce NOW. The North Line update for ARC Raiders begins November 13, 2025.
